Will Howard Stern Host American Idol? No, Says his Wife

According to People.com, Beth Ostrosky-Stern does not think her husband will fill Simon Cowell’s very large loafers. “I think would be great,” she told People.com. “But do I think it’s going to happen? No.”
“I’m so lucky that I get to sit next to him when we watch ‘American Idol’ every week,” said Ostrosky-Stern. “I’m in stitches, he’s so funny but yet he’s very serious about it. And he’s also a big cheerleader for the contestants and he’s very honest.”
On Stern’s radio show, he has made it pretty clear that he is not really interested in the job. Back in May he told his audience, “There’s not a better job on the planet than judging that f—ing karaoke contest.” He added, “They’d have to pay me a ton of dough because I already make a ton of dough.”
The question still lingers on whether or not Stern will renew his contract with Sirius/XM Radio when it expires at the end of 2010. As for the search for a replacement for Simon Cowell, it continues!
