The two Russian tennis players Maria Sharapova and Elene Dementieva met on Firday to play their Bank of the Classic quarter-final match, which lasted for almost three hours. In the end, Sharapova had the longer breath and outlasted her opponent, winning in three sets 6-5, 2-6 and 6-3. Speculation about where Josh Howard is going to end up playing next season, just came to an end. He signed a contract on Friday with the Washington Wizards, that could potentially pay him $4 million, dependent on whether or not he will meet certain incentives. The Wizards’ management and Josh Howard reached a verbal agreement Wednesday night. Howard was traded from the Dallas Mavericks in mid February, however, only played a total of four games before he was injured on his left knee.
