Surfer Chick Reveals She Auditioned For The Part Of Willow In X-Men: First Class
Straight2DVD managed to snag themselves a bit of a scoop when they interviewed surfer Erica Hosseini.
In the interview Hosseini let slip that she had recently auditioned for a role in Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men prequel; X-Men: First Class.
So, what role was she up for?
I’ll allow her to explain in her own words…
“I was auditioning for a role named Willow (hopefully I don’t get in trouble for blabbing details on the off-chance that I get it). It’s a role similar to Mystique from what I understand. Potentially lots of body paint, so that would be really fun,”
For those of you who are unaware of the character Willow. She’s a shape-shifter that Marvel created for their Marvel 2099 run which explored the possible futures of some of Marvel’s iconic superheroes. What is surprising about this news is that X-Men: First Class is supposed to be a prequel and yet Willow only ever existed in the future so what gives?
Why bring in another shape-shifter who is kind of like Mystique when the rules of a prequel allow you to actually bring back Mystique?
