Two New Names Added To X-Men: First Class Cast
The roles of Beast and Banshee have been filled for Matthew Vaughn’s upcoming X-Men prequel; X-Men: First Class.
Up first, Nicholas Hoult will play Beast (you may remember that Beast was played by Kelsey Grammer in X-Men: Last Stand). Hoult was last seen in this year’s Clash of the Titans and can be seen again in 2012’s Mad Max: Fury Road.
Caleb Landry Jones will play Banshee. Landry Jones has less of a resume than Hoult, he appeared for three episodes in Friday Night Lights and also had a role in No Country For Old Men.
Hoult and Caleb Jones will join James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Alice Eve in Matthew Vaughn’s prequel.
X-Men: First Class will focus on the relationship between Charles Xavier (Professor X) and Erik Lensherr (Magneto) before they took opposing sides of the mutant battles.
X-Men: First Class is scheduled to hit cinemas on June 3rd, 2011.
