Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan has revealed that his next project will be Batman 3.

Nolan, who is just finishing up on this summer’s Inception, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio said…

“We know we’re aiming for 2012. That’s been talked about. We’re just working on the script, really. My brother has been hard at work on it for quite some time.”

So, expect the rumour mill to go into overdrive once again as to who Batman 3’s main villain, or villains will be and who play them.

At this moment in time it is widely expected that The Riddler will make an appearance with Johnny Depp, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Robin Williams all being linked to the role.

Personally, I want to see Robin Williams have a bash at the Riddler. I don’t like Johnny Depp for the role, it’s not that I don’t think he could do the role justice; it’s just that I want Nolan to be brave in his casting, much like he was when he cast Heath Ledger as the Joker.

Casting Robin Williams would be brave, casting Johnny Depp would be safe.
