Not sure whether or not to chalk this one down to good news or bad news but Nicolas Cage has confirmed that he will be returning for Ghost Rider 2.

Talking on The Late, Late show with Craig Ferguson, Cage revealed that he had recently signed a deal to star in Ghost Rider 2 and that Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor would share the directorial duties.

A couple of months back it was revealed that Cage had a choice of either National Treasure 3 or Ghost Rider 2 for his next movie. It seems that Cage has picked Ghost Rider 2 and I’m not sure what this means for National Treasure 3.

So, am I happy that Cage will once again set his head on fire?

Yes and no.

I actually enjoyed Ghost Rider, it was entertaining and left me wanting more and despite what the critics said I thought it was a pretty solid effort with the only downer being the casting of Cage. I just didn’t buy him as Johnny Blaze. (I actually find Nicolas Cage hard to watch. I’m always aware that I am watching Nicolas Cage playing lets pretend…)
