Star Trek 2 To Boldly Go Into Production In January
According to actor Bruce Greenwood, the next Star Trek movie is set to go into production in January.
Greenwood, who played Captain Pike in the first movie, is hoping that he will get to reprise the character in JJ Abrams’ Star Trek 2…
“I just know that the plan is to film it in January. More than that, I don’t know. I hope [to come back]. I’m hustling for it… we’ll see…”
While Greenwood claims that he doesn’t know if he will return for Star Trek 2, his fellow cast members Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Anton Yelchin, Karl Urban, John Cho and Simon Pegg are all set for the sequel.
Star Trek 2 will be directed by JJ Abrams and written by Robert Orci and Alex Kurtzman. It is scheduled for release on June 29th, 2012.
