Avatar actor Sam Worthington has official signed on to Warner Bros Dan Dare movie.

According to Variety; Clash of the Titans producer Basil Iwanyk will produce the movie which is based on the popular British sc-fi hero.

Dan Dare first appeared in Eagle Comics back in 1950 in Dan Dare: The Pilot of the Future. The future back in 1950 was the 1990’s which if the producers decide to stick with would make a very boring movie…

At this moment in time no director has been attached and other than the casting of Worthington, no other cast members have been announced.

With the official announcement of the signing of Worthington expect bucket-loads of directors and actors to be linked to project on a weekly basis.
