Brandon Routh has revealed that he would one day like to play Superman again.

Back in 2006, Routh played the Man of Steel in Bryan Singers poorly received Superman Returns in which he portrayed Superman as some kind of Lois-obsessed stalker who even had an illegitimate kid.

Recently it was announced that Chris Nolan, the man behind the new Batman movies had signed with DC to oversee the development of a Superman reboot.

And guess what?

Routh wants to be his Superman. Talking to Blastr the star said…

“I certainly would [love to play Superman again]. As much as I say I’m working to shake that off or shake it up, I certainly don’t want to extinguish or get rid of it because it was a great honour and I would love to be able to return as that character.”

Personally I think there is absolutely no chance of Routh playing Superman again.
