Former NBA player Lorenzen Wright is dead

Lorenzen Wright, ex-NBA player, was missing for more than 10 days. After a police investigation, he was found dead outside of Memphis.

Wright’s uncle, Curtis Wright, gave a statement to the Associated Press, explaining that the police called the family Wednesday afternoon, confirming that the dead body found was Lorenzen Wright. Wright’s family issued a statement, expressing their thanks and appreciation for the prayers and condolences they received during these difficult times.

Lorenzen Wright was 34 years old. He was last seen on July 18. He was scheduled to fly out of town that day, but when family members did not hear back from him for several days, they filed a missing person report on July 22.

Wright has a 13 year career with the NBA, playing for teams like the Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Clippers and Sacramento Kings. However, he was most known for his engagement with the Cleveland Cavaliers where he played a total of 17 games in the 08/09 season.
