Speculation about where Josh Howard is going to end up playing next season, just came to an end. He signed a contract on Friday with the Washington Wizards, that could potentially pay him $4 million, dependent on whether or not he will meet certain incentives.

The Wizards’ management and Josh Howard reached a verbal agreement Wednesday night. Howard was traded from the Dallas Mavericks in mid February, however, only played a total of four games before he was injured on his left knee. Subsequently, he had to undergo surgery in March and is expected to recover in a six to eight months time frame.

His agent Derek Lafayette confirmed that the healing process is going well, however, it is unclear as to whether or not he will be ready to join the team for training camp.

Over seven NBA seasons, Howard has scored an average of 15.3 points.
