ModNation Racers Patch To Reduce Loading Times

On my video game shelf I have a copy of ModNation Racers for the PS3. Now, this copy has only entered my PS3 on two separate occasions.

The first time I put it in I had to wait nearly thirty minutes before I could play the bugger (system update and forced install) and when it finally allowed me to play it I had to suffer from atrocious loading times that made me think that my PS3 was broken. After a few races I came to the realization that my PS3 wasn’t responsible for the ridiculous loading times; it was the game and that was when I turned it off.

The second time the ModNation Racers disc found itself in my PS3 was when I wanted to show my buddy how bad the loading times were.

I don’t sell many games. I fancy myself something of a collector, I like to collect things not sell them but ModNation Racers nearly found itself in my local Blockbusters I was so pissed with it.

But, like I said, it nearly did.

So, what saved it from the clutches of a greasy Blockbusters assistant?

Next week’s patch.

See, next week United Front Games are releasing a patch that they promise will reduce those stupid loading times by up to 50 per cent and this patch, oh, this patch is going to change things, it’s really going to mix things up, it’s going to make a difference, it’s going to, well, you get the idea, it’s a patch, it’s going to patch things up.

What is this magic patch going to fix?

  • Loading times.
  • Single player difficulty – It’s gonna be easier.
  • Online cheaters.
  • Faster Online connection.
  • And it’s also going to give us some free stuff.
