The Germantown police are currently investigating the mysterious death of NBA player Lorenzen Wright. The autopsy of his body is yet to be released, so it is unclear when Wright died and how many times he was shot.

According to the police the medical examiner, in order to establish Wright’s identity, had to use dental records, which leads to the assumption that the body must have been in the woods for some time, before a police search team eventually found it.

The police further confirmed that they are currently investigating this as a homicide, but won’t discuss any details regarding motives or whether or not they already have any suspects.

Lorenzen Wright was a father of six children. He also leaves behind his mother Deborah Marion and father Herb Wright. His father, bound to a wheelchair after he was shot in the spine, was also Wright’s coach.

Hundreds of fans and supporters visited the scene near where Lorenzen Wright’s body was found to pay their respect and condolences to the former NBA star.
