Sara Gilbert, best known for her role as Roseanne’s daughter in the hit television comedy series, “Roseanne,” has admitted that she is a lesbian.

Promoting her new television talk show, “The Talk,” she appeared at a press event for the Television Critics Association on Wednesday in Los Angeles. At the event, she spoke about her sexuality. “I don’t think it will be a problem. I don’t ever really think of things as ‘out ‘or ‘in.’ I just think I am who I am, and when topics come up that are appropriate, I’ll talk about them and share when it seems right.”

Gilbert, 35, has never publicly discussed her private life until now. She has a son and a daughter with her partner, television producer, Allison Adler.

The new show will be a panel of celebrity mothers discussing their lives. It will include co-hosts, Leah Remini, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, and Marissa Jaret Winokur.
