NBA issues memo not to tamper with Chris Paul
Nobody really knows what’s going on with Chris Paul momentarily. He stated several times that he is alright with where he is now, playing for the New Orleans Hornets. On the contrary, his camp says the exact opposite: he wants a trade to another team. But there are legal issues that prevent Paul from making public statements that he actually wants to be traded. If he was saying anything in that regard, he would be fined. There are a number of teams out there who want to learn more about Paul’s preferences, but now they have to be more careful than ever. The NBA has issued a memo that went out to all teams, specifically…
Tiger Woods will play Bridgestone Invitational
St. Andrews didn’t work out for him. However, we saw little sparks of his talent and overall a solid performance from Tiger Woods. That gives him and his fans an optimistic outlook on next week’s tournament at Firestone, where he is singed up for the Bridgestone Invitational. He won the World Golf Championship seven times and is also the defending champion on that course. Last year, Woods had a close rally with Padraig Harrington, but managed to come in and win the title. Along with that, he became the first golf player to win a PGA Tour tournament seven times on the same course. Woods has won Firestone every year since 2005 – with the…
Eddie House to join the Miami Heat
It was probably the greatest NBA coup of all time when the Miami Heat managed to get Dwayne Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh for the next season. But they are not done, yet. Pat Riley is still looking for complementary players to support his star trio. And he seems to be successful in exactly doing that. The Heat just agreed with Eddie House, 32 years of age, on a 2 year contract, which pays him $2.8 million, with a player option of $1.4 million the second year. This was confirmed by House’s agent Mark Bartelstein in an interview with Yahoo!Sports on Thursday. Over the past three years, House has put himself on the map…

The debut of Timberlake’s fashions came earlier this year at fashion week in New York City. He describes the line as “New America” and said that road trips between the Mississippi River and the West Coast were inspiration for the line. Target has partnered with other big name designers before. Their roster of top-level partners has included Jean Paul Gaultier, Zac Posen, Rodarte,…
75 Percent of U.S. Metropolitan Areas Saw a Spike in Foreclosures
RealtyTrac, a real estate data provider, has reported that three out of four large U.S. metropolitan areas saw a rise in foreclosures during the first half of 2010. This hit to the housing market will probably rule out any continued home price gains until 2013. The major cause for the spike in foreclosures totaled 1.6 million, according to RealtyTrac is the high levels of unemployment. While the rate of unemployment remains near the 10 percent mark in most areas, home prices will not see a shift for the better. The real estate market price peaks of four years ago are now down 29 percent. “If unemployment remains persistently high and foreclosure prevention efforts only delay…
