Yogi Bear 3D Trailer Hits The Net
The new trailer for the upcoming Yogi Bear movie has hit the net and it looks absolutely awesome. Dan Aykroyd is following in the footsteps of Daws Butler and Greg Burson by providing the voice for Yogi and I must admit, when I first heard Yogi speak in the trailer it sounded like someone doing a bad impression but by the trailer’s end I had forgotten that it was Dan Aykroyd. Also, Justin Timberlake as Boo-Boo wasn’t nearly as annoying as I thought he was going to be when I first heard that he’d won the role. Yogi Bear 3D is directed by Journey to the Centre of the Earth director Eric Brevig and stars…
James Cameron And Guillermo del Toro Team Up To Adapt HP Lovecraft Story
Avatar director James Cameron is teaming up with Hellboy helmer Guillermo del Toro to produce the movie adaptation of HP Lovecraft’s At The Mountains Of Madness. As well as producing, del Toro will also direct the movie. I have taken the liberty of copying and pasting the plot synopsis from Wikipedia… The story is written in first-person perspective by the geologist William Dyer, a professor from Miskatonic University. He writes to disclose hitherto unknown and closely kept secrets in the hope that he can deter a planned and much publicized scientific expedition to Antarctica. On a previous expedition there, a party of scholars from Miskatonic University, led by Dyer, discovered fantastic and horrific ruins and…
Underworld Director In Talks To Make Total Recall Remake
The Heat Vision blog is reporting that Underworld and Die Hard 4.0 director Len Wiseman is in talks to helm the proposed Total Recall remake. Yep, they’re remaking Total Recall. Now, I don’t want to dump on Wiseman but what has he done to deserve to direct the remake of the sci-fi classic? There is nothing on his CV to suggest that he can handle the material. To date he has only directed three movies. (he has one in production). He directed and wrote the first two Underworld movies and oversaw the fourth and arguably weakest Die Hard movie. The Arnold Schwarzenegger original, which was released back in 1990 was based on the Philip K…
Sorry Folks But There Is Not Going To Be A Superbad Sequel
According to Superbad and Pineapple Express writer Evan Goldberg there is no chance of ever getting a sequel to the smash hit comedy Superbad. According to Goldberg… “We kind of made the classic mistake of people who had a successful film: we then booked everything we could because we thought it’d be our only chance. It still could be our only chance, but man are we booked.” I suppose it’s a good thing that we’re not getting a sequel as the first movie was an instant comedy classic and a sequel would be hard-pressed to match its originality and spirit. What do you guys think, do you want to see more of McLovin and co.?…
Capcom: Lost Planet 2 Underperformed
Capcom has revealed that this year’s Lost Planet 2 “underperformed its projection substantially” or in other words; bombed! Despite selling an impressive 1.5 million copies worldwide it seems that Capcom had higher hopes for the sci-fi shooter. Lost Planet 2, which is available on the PS3 and Xbox 360 was considered something of a disappointment by reviewers on its release with IGN awarding it a miserable 6.8 and summing it up with… Lost Planet 2 is at its best when you’re a giant robot fighting other giant robots – in other words, when it’s simple. At its core it’s a potentially great action game and it’s very good-looking, but it explains itself so incredibly poorly…
