If you listen to the grapevine then Little Fockers, the third movie in the Meet The Parents franchise is in real trouble.

Apparently shooting has wrapped on the project and test screenings suggest that the movie is, well, crap.

According to Vulture, Universal has reached out to Dustin Hoffman (the only major name not to return for the movie) to consider…

“a last-minute reprise of his role as Bernie Focker in an effort to funny-up the comedy, which has already wrapped production.”

The same article suggests that if Hoffman decides to return, the movie could go back into full production but if he declines, well, if he declines we’ll know to expect a sub-standard comedy cashing in on the popularity of its predecessors, or if you prefer; a pointless sequel.

At this moment in time Little Fockers is scheduled to hit cinemas on December 22nd but that could change depending on what Hoffman decides to do.
