Original vocalist, David Lee Roth, is reported to be recording a new album with legendary rock band, Van Halen. Reports also say that the group will go on the road with Roth at some point next year when the album is finished.

Warner/Chappel, music publishers for the band read a statement that said, “The band is currently in the studio recording an album with Roth that is due for release in 2011.”

Roth has not recorded with Van Halen since 1984 – making its release over 25 years ago. According to Billboard, Irving Azoff, of Live Nation Promotions and manager of the band, spoke at a conference on August 5 about a planned 2011 tour.

The last album that the band recorded was in 1998. It was their studio album called, “Van Halen III.” Gary Cherone was singing vocals for that release.

Reports say that in 2008 Roth and the band laid to rest differences that have plagued their relationship for years. They plan on carrying out a successful tour of North America.
