Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays opposite Michael Cera in the new film, ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.’ The 25-year old actress says that she drew from personal experience when portraying her role. The storyline in this comic-book like comedy leads Scott Pilgrim to battle with seven evil ex-girlfriends.

Winstead says that she can relate to the premise of the film. She told OnTheRedCarpet.com, “I think the reason they’re kind of evil exes is because she’s broken up with them in a way that was really kind of heartless and maybe not too nice.”

But does Winstead know what it is like to be evil when it comes to saying goodbye to a flame? “I certainly have one or two guys that I kind of said ‘Buh-bye’ to and maybe wasn’t quite as thoughtful as I should have been in how I handled it,” she told OnTheRedCarpet.com. “So I really related to that and when I played the part, I was like ‘I’m sorry, guys! That wasn’t very nice.’”
