There is some danger in searching some popular celebrities. Hackers use big names as lures in order to get us unsuspecting seekers of gossip to click on their infected sites.

The names that top the list for ‘most dangerous’ celebrity searches are Cameron Diaz, Julia Roberts and Jessica Biel. The maker of McAfee computer-security software has conducted research in order to determine which celebrity names are used most often as lures. When one unsuspectingly searches celebrity names, they can be lured into malicious websites created by criminals whose goal in life is to make others lives difficult by infecting their computers and attempting to steal from them.

When you click on a strange site, you are already taking a risk. However, many folks do, myself included, only to have their computers infected. When a computer is under attack, the wrong-doers can gain access to their victim’s online passwords and often destroy data that is stored in their memory.
