In the upcoming film, ‘Black Swan,’ Natalie Portman portrays a fiercely competitive ballerina who is up against Kunis to snag the lead part in Swan Lake. The two share a passionate kiss in the film.

In an interview, Portman says she was nervous about the scene: “I was terrified. At the moment I lived in a state of inner terror.”

However, Portman does not feel the same way about baring it all. “Nudity is something absolutely natural and I’m not prudish — but in a film it can be distracting,” Portman reportedly said. “Doing Black Swan I couldn’t say no. The project is a huge opportunity for me to show a new me.”

Although Portman was anxious to reveal a new dimension to her acting ability by playing this role, she also expressed concerns that the intimate lesbian scenes might diminish the film’s plot and that it may cause some to not take her seriously as an artist.
