Valve has revealed that British comedy icon Stephen Merchant has signed on to join the voice cast for their upcoming Portal 2.

According to CVG, Merchant, who along with Ricky Gervais created the hit TV sitcom The Office will voice the character of Wheatley, some dude who joins the player for a portion of the single player campaign.

Valve also revealed that the heavily anticipated Portal 2 will hit retail on February 9th of next year for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
