According to reports by Variety, Sandra Bullock may be close to finding her follow up role to “The Blind Side” for which she won an Oscar. Apparently, Warner Brothers and Paramount are considering the actress for the drama “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” co-starring Tom Hanks. The two studios would release the movie as a joint effort.

The trade paper is reporting that the studios have sent offers out to both actors for the film which is set to be produced by Scott Rudin and directed by Stephen Daldry, who directed “The Reader” for which Kate Winslet won an Academy Award.

Based on the Jonathan Saran Foer novel of 2005, the screenplay was penned by Eric Roth and is about Oskar Schell, a 9-year-old boy whose father died as a result of the 9/11 attacks in New York City. The story follows the boy as he finds a key that belonged to his dad in a vase and searches Manhattan for the lock it belongs to.
