According to Avatar star Stephen Lang, in the upcoming Conan the Barbarian reboot; magic and supernatural elements will play a huge part in the movie which is simply titled; Conan.

Talking to MTV Lang, who has bagged himself the role of Khalar Zym in Marcus Nispel’s reboot, said…

“If you read Robert Howard, of course, the Conan stories and novellas, magic, supernatural plays a huge, huge part in them – fakirs and magicians and wizards all over the place. Magic is part of that world. The magic in this film, there’s a lot of it and there’s a lot of action-magic as well, a lot of magical fighting.”

In the movie, which is scheduled for release next year, Lang plays Khalar Zym, the movie’s bad guy, who according to the casting breakdown which appeared online last year is…

“in his 40s to 50s, Asian or Middle Eastern, Central Asian, Mongol, Turkish, or Persian, open to all ethnicities; commanding in size and manner, a warlord and formidable warrior, brilliant, cruel, weathered and tanned by the many campaigns he has waged and won. He is driven in his quest to find the Queen of Acheron and has been building an empire to do so.

Lang stars alongside Jason Momoa (Conan), Ron Perlman, Rose McGowan and Rachel Nichols in Marcus Nispel’s take on Robert E Howard’s iconic comic book character.
