Guns N Roses Slammed For Poor Attitude
According to Newsbeat, iconic rock band Guns N’ Roses have been slammed by festival organizers after turning up late for both the Reading and Leeds music festivals.
Also, lead singer Axel Rose was criticised for hurling expletives at the organisers of the festivals after they had to stop the band’s performances after they went over their allotted time slots.
Lost Prophet guitarist Mike Lewis commented on the incident by saying…
“It was so predictable that he was going to be late that nobody bothered questioning why. It’s so predictable, it’s boring. I don’t see it as him being a rock star or rock ‘n’ roll. I just see it as being disrespectful. It’s disrespectful to all the other bands. It’s disrespectful to all the people who’ve bought tickets. I think the guy is a joke and I think his band is a joke.”
While Marina Diamandis of Marina and the Diamonds added…
“I just think it’s juvenile. It’s really selfish to keep people waiting. Actually they did it because they [the organisers] said if you’re an hour late you won’t get paid so they were 58 minutes late in Reading. It’s like, ‘Grow up.’ You’re not king of the world.”

I think we should accept that Guns n’ Roses will be late at their concerts, I think if Axl has said for a pretty long while that he hits his groove only very late, then I think he really means it. But I don’t understand why the band and the organisers can’t have a show that’s scheduled to begin late.
