Jimmy Falon hosted the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards show celebrating top honors for television last night with glowing reviews. His first time hosting the show went well for the late-night talk show host and comedian.

Most of the awards handed out last night went to new shows and those who have not won the honor before.  Although “Glee” was expected to win outstanding comedy show, they had to step aside for “Modern Family” which took those top honors and won six out of the 14 nominations they received.
Show creator, Steven Levitan said, “We are thrilled that families are sitting down to watch a television show. Thank you for letting us into your families.”

For drama, “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad” walked away with awards. For best movie or mini-series “Temple Grandin” won five of seven honors including best actress for Claire Danes who portrayed the real-life Grandin spectacularly.
