Joshua Jackson, the star of the hit sci-fi TV show; Fringe has hinted, in an interview with Zap2It, that his character Peter Bishop could become romantically involved with the alternate version of FBI Agent Olivia Dunham.

At the end of the second season of Fringe, Olivia was captured and replaced by the alternate Olivia and Jackson seems to think that because Peter Bishop and the alternate Olivia could find romance as they have more in common being from the same universe…

“What I’m curious about is how he’s invested going to get in Alt-Livia. The reason that I think [the normal] Olivia and Peter never quite could figure out how to bridge the gap and find that spark, is because they’re not from the same side. The reason why Peter and other Olivia hit it off so quickly is because [it] just feels more natural. It’s some sort of animal instinct that these two, being from the same side, share.”

Fringe returns to our TV screens on September 23.
