Sylvester Stallone, the director/writer and star of The Expendables has revealed through his Twitter account that he is planning on making a director’s cut of his hit action movie blockbuster The Expendables.

Um, excuse me, a director’s cut?

What did he leave on the cutting room floor, a decent plot? I mean, okay, we all know The Expendables was never going to win over critics with its story but having just watched it myself I cannot believe how bad the movie was when The Expendables weren’t kicking ass. When they were kicking ass The Expendables was awesome but when they were setting up the ass-kicking scenes the movie sucked. I sure as hell don’t want to see a director’s cut with additional footage because I’m pretty sure that the new footage will be more character development footage than any major action scenes. The Director’s Cut is expected within the next six months.

Anyway, Sly also promised that there will be an awesome Making Of documentary released with the upcoming DVD which I’m more interested about than a director’s cut. The Making Of documentary will be called Inferno: The Making of the Expendables all will see all of the star studded cast on screen as well as the well-documented on-set accident involving Sylvester Stallone and Steve Austin.
