The 25-year-old daughter of John and Cindy McCain has released a book in which she admits to having mixed feelings about her father’s choice for a Republican vice-presidential running mate.

In “Dirty Sexy Politics” she says that she had the nickname of “the time bomb” for Sarah Palin. She adds that the former mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, brought stress, drama and uncertainty to John McCain’s presidential bid in 2008. She wrote, “I was waiting for her to explode. There was a fine line between genius and insanity, they say, and choosing her as the running mate was starting to seem like the definition of that line.”

However, she doesn’t blame Palin for the lost race. She actually goes on to give praise to Palin and her family. She called them “nice and down-to-Earth.” McCain feels that Palin is impressive as she is able to inspire and captivate women.
