For those of you who loved Zombieland I’ve got one of those good news / bad news jobbies for you. So, in time honoured tradition I’ll jump straight to the bad news. The bad news is…

Zombieland 2 is quite a long way away.

And the good news?

There is going to be a Zombieland 2.

Word is that a script for Zombieland 2 has already been completed, or at least an early draft of it has and star Jesse Eisenberg has already checked it out…

“Yeah, I read it,”

Revealed the star to a group of journalists before adding…

“I mean, it’s an early draft and we have plenty more to do to work on it, but I think it’s going to be amazing. I’m really excited about it.”

Director Ruben Fleischer has expressed an interest in making Zombieland 2 but added that he had other projects at various stages in development which he may devote his time to before he gets around to the Zombieland sequel…

“I got a couple irons in the fire, so we’ll see, but I’d be psyched to do it. I have this buddy cop movie that I sold to DreamWorks that’s pretty cool that these guys Arnold and Poole are writing. There’s a movie that Mike White wrote called ‘Babe in the Woods,’ that’s a really cool script, so those kind of exist and I guess we’ll see what happens.”
