High School Musical star and teen heart-throb Zac Efron has been talking with Premiere about his role in the new movie Death & Life of Charlie St. Cloud and revealed that he is not worried about alienating his fanbase with the new role which he admits is a departure from his usual roles…

“It’s a bit more real than before, we’re no longer in a heightened reality. These things do happen! “I think [fans] are old enough now, at least the ones who’ll come see this movie, hopefully they’ll understand that and won’t be too taken aback by it. It’s quite soft.”

Here’s the synopsis for Death & Life of Charlie St. Could that I lifted from IMDB. The author of the synopsis is CBlodg…

Charlie St. Cloud is a young man overcome by grief at the death of his younger brother. So much so that he takes a job as caretaker of the cemetery in which his brother is buried. Charlie has a special lasting bond with his brother though, as he can see him. Charlie meets up with his brother (Sam) each night to play catch and talk. Then, a girl comes into Charlie’s life and he must choose between keeping a promise he made to Sam, or going after the girl he loves
