James Heselden, Segway vehicle company owner dies using one
According to police, James Heselden, 62, was killed in an accident using one of his company vehicles. The body of the Segway company owner was recovered in northern England from the River Wharfe on Sunday.
Police say that a Segway vehicle was also taken from the river. The accident is not thought to be suspicious.
In a statement released by his family, the said, “there is absolutely nothing to suggest it was anything other than a tragic accident. Our family has been left devastated by the sudden and tragic loss of a much-loved father and husband.
The exact circumstances of the accident are still being clarified and will, of course, be the subject of an inquest.”
Apparently, Heselden was riding the vehicle on his property when it went off of a cliffside. He has earned a reputation of being very charitable with his lifetime giving equal to over $36 million.
