Slash Nearly Asked Axl Rose To Perform On New Album
Former Guns N’ Roses lead guitarist and general rock God; Slash has revealed that he nearly asked Guns N’ Roses front man Axl Rose to perform with him on his new solo album despite not having talked to Rose since the pair fell out back in the 1990’s.
The guitarist admitted that he thought of Rose’s name when he was writing some of the songs for the album but ultimately didn’t follow through and actually contact Axl…
“When I was in the middle of this process there were a lot of singers’ names who flew through my mind during the process. You are living in ‘Singer Land’ so all you are thinking about is singers. The thought of him crossed my mind at one point. I thought, ‘Axl could sing the s**t out of any of these songs.’”
And the reason why he didn’t pick up the phone and call Axl Rose?
“I wanted to put the record out in this millennium.”
