A source close to the troubled actress said that Lindsay Lohan has voluntarily entered a substance abuse center. The specific program has not been revealed.

The decision to check herself into a rehab program came after a judge in Los Angeles ordered that Lohan be sent to jail with no bail after she failed a court ordered drug test. But, instead of spending 30days in jail, another judge allowed her to be released on bail after only 14 hours.

Last month, Lohan was sent to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center for 23 days after she spent 13 days in the county jail in Los Angeles.

After she had failed the drug test, the actress wrote a Twitter message that said, “Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn’t go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps.”

Michael Lohan, Lindsay’s father said on Sunday, “Finally, they listened to me.” He has been pushing his daughter to voluntarily seek treatment.
