According to Moviehole, Star Wars star Natalie Portman could play Lois Lane if Requiem For A Dream director Darren Aronofsky gets the nod to direct the Superman reboot.

Apparently Aronofsky is on a shortlist of directors that Dark Knight helmer Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros are considering to take charge of the Man of Steel reboot, and one of the first things he is expected to do if he lands the gig is hire Natalie Portman to play Superman’s missus which, in my opinion, would be a genius bit of casting even if she does look a little on the young side.

The shortlist for the Superman gig is also expected to include Top Gun director Tony Scott, Matt Reeves, Duncan Jones, Jonathan Liebesman and my personal favourite; Watchmen and Dawn of the Dead director Zack Snyder.

Hopefully the Superman director will be announced shortly and then we can all go crazy trying to guess the actor who will play Supes.
