The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor Goes To Tina Fey

On November 9th Tina Fey will join some of the greatest American comedians and comedic writers when she is presented with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.  Tina Fey, who is undoubtedly one of the funniest women on TV today, is best known for her comedic writing and acting on her Emmy winning hit show “30 Rock” as well as her former role on “Saturday Night Live”.
 
Tina Fey will be the 13th comedian to receive the Twain award and at the age of 40, she will be the youngest recipient.  Presenting the award to her that night will be a few of her former SNL cast members Jimmy Fallon, Fred Armisen, Seth Meyers as well as SNL creator Lorne Michaels and of course, Betty White. Others that have won the award since it was established 13 years ago are comedy greats such as George Carlin, Steve Martin, Whoopi Goldberg, Billy Crystal, Richard Pryor and Bill Cosby.
