David Beckham is a busy man. The English soccer star who is currently under contract at America’s MLS club L.A. Galaxy is also the vice-president of an initiative trying to get the approval to hold the 2018 World Cup in his home country. He also just attended the Fifa Under-17 women’s world cup in Trinidad. Well known film editor found dead

Sally Menke, film editor for Quentin Tarantino, was found dead early Tuesday morning on a hiking trail in Los Angeles’ Griffith Park. According to police, the exact cause of death is not yet known, but the 57-year-old had been hiking with a friend on the hottest day ever recorded in Los Angeles. The weather service said that temperatures hit 113 degrees on Monday afternoon. Menke and the friend that she had been hiking with were separated. When the friend could not find Menke at the end of the hiking trail, she called police. Lt. Cheryl MacWillie, coroner spokesperson, said that the heat may not have been the only cause of death. Lindsay Lohan in rehab

A source close to the troubled actress said that Lindsay Lohan has voluntarily entered a substance abuse center. The specific program has not been revealed. The decision to check herself into a rehab program came after a judge in Los Angeles ordered that Lohan be sent to jail with no bail after she failed a court ordered drug test. But, instead of spending 30days in jail, another judge allowed her to be released on bail after only 14 hours. Obama calls Fox News destructive

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, President Obama called the cable news outlet, Fox News “destructive to [America’s] long-term growth.” The President likened the cable news channel to publications available at the turn of the 20th century such as those owned by William Randolph Hearst. In the interview Obama said that those publications concentrated more on pushing their own political views rather than reporting the news in an objective manner. “You had folks like Hearst who used their newspapers very intentionally to promote their viewpoints. Jimmy Carter in the hospital

Former United States President, Jimmy Carter has been hospitalized in Cleveland, Ohio. According to Jackie Mayo, a spokesperson for the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, he was on an inbound flight when he began to experience an unknown health issue. At approximately 11:30 AM EST, America’s 39th president was taken to the hospital after the plane was met by paramedics when it arrived.
