Announced this morning as possible inductees into the 2011 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame were performers such as, Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi, The Beastie Boys, LL Cool J and Bon Jovi. Alice Cooper told CNN how honored he was about his nomination, “We are honored to be nominated for induction in to the Hall. Current Doctor Who and perhaps the coolest guy on UK TV right now; Matt Smith has revealed that he would like to see the Tardis get a piano installed so he can show off his musical skills. It seems that Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski could once again team up with Johnny Depp; if Deadline are to be believed when they claim that the director is in talks to direct Disney’s The Lone Ranger. Pirates of the Caribbean producer Jerry Bruckheimer is producing the remake and it kind of makes sense that he would want Verbinski on board after the success the pair had with the Pirates trilogy. Leonardo DiCaprio Says Gloria Stuart Will Be Missed
In response to the passing of Hollywood actress Gloria Stuart, who died yesterday after a long battle with lung cancer, Leonardo DiCaprio has expressed his condolences. For those of you who can’t quite place the name of Gloria Stuart; she is perhaps most famous these days for playing the role of old Rose in James Cameron’s Titanic. The actress was a 100 years old. Interestingly, the age of her character in 1998’s Titanic was 101 years old.
