Another Battlestar Galactica Prequel TV Series On The Way

Sci-Fi channel Syfy has apparently ordered a new TV pilot which will act as a direct prequel to their smash hit show Battlestar Galactica. According to the Hollywood Reporter, executives for the channel have commissioned a pilot which will follow a young Bill Adama as he fights in the first Cylon war.

The new show will see Adama take charge of Galactica for the first time. Here’s a quote from SyFy’s head of programming Mark Stern…

“We jumped at the chance to revisit the William Adama character and explore this exciting chapter in the Battlestar Galactica narrative which falls between the events of the original series and the prequel Caprica,”

Seriously, this is amazing news. For some reason I just can’t take to Caprica, perhaps I just haven’t given it the time it deserves? Anyway, the thought of seeing Galactica in space again gives me goose bumps and I for one can’t wait.
