The Green Lantern star Ryan Reynolds has promised fans of his other superhero alter-ego Deadpool that the upcoming movie based on the Marvel superhero will show Deadpool as a “nasty piece of work” and that as the script for the movie currently stands, it could very well be that we get an R-rated movie. In an interview with Total Film, Reynolds revealed…

“The script is going to be a little harder than the comics. The script right now is walking a tightrope between [PG-13] and an R rating. The fourth wall is broken many times in the movie – and it’s important that we do so. I can’t emphasise enough how closely the tone of the comic is being followed in the film script. But it’s a nasty piece of work and that’s what’s important.”

I find it hard to believe that Reynolds is going to give us what we want here, I mean, he didn’t have to go along with the piece of crap that was X-Men Origins: Wolverine did he? I know his character has his mouth sewn shut but he didn’t, he could have told Fox executives that they were destroying Deadpool.
