Is X-Factor boss Simon Cowell about to launch a new TV quiz show that takes elements from the National Lottery show?

Well, according to the Sunday edition of the Daily Star he is. Apparently, the music/reality TV producer is working on a new quiz show that TV viewers can participate in by buying lottery-like scratch cards which can win them big cash prizes.

A source close to Cowell revealed…

“Simon’s really excited about bringing a new game show to our screens but everyone is sworn to secrecy. He hopes it will be good enough to grab the nation’s attention and be as big as The X Factor.”

Cowell himself suggested this past week that he was working on something new but declined to give any details out of his fear that some other TV producer to could steal the idea…

“I have to be very careful about what I say in advance because, the minute you announce something, somebody else comes along and pinches it. And I don’t like to hype these things – if they work, they work. I want the public to discover them for themselves.”
