Wesley Snipes Still Thinks He Is Blade
Hollywood actor Wesley Snipes is insisting that any future Blade movies will have to have him portraying the Marvel character despite there being no movement in the popular vampire superhero movie franchise since 2004.
In an interview with Deadline, Snipes said…
“Maybe we get around to doing another Blade, except, from what I’m reading, every other actor is talking about playing him, and nobody is talking to Wesley. How strange that they don’t come and talk to me about it.”
Personally, if Marvel were thinking about resurrecting the Blade franchise I’m pretty sure they will go the reboot route. After the debacle that was Blade: Trinity I get the sense that the franchise needs some fresh blood and if that is the case then it is almost a given that no one will be looking at Snipes.
With the amount of superhero movies in the pipeline I must admit that I am in no rush for another Blade movie.

With the exception of blade trinity. I think Wesley Snipes did an outstanding job playing Blade. He made the role. The only other actor I can think of playing that role would be Michael Jai White. But Wesley brung it.
