After separating this past April, celebrity couple Lenny Henry and Dawn French have divorced. The reason for the divorce will officially go down as “unreasonable behaviour” on the part of Lenny Henry.

Neither French or Henry attended the proceedings at the High Court. District judge Penny Cushing granted the ex-couple a quickie divorce.

The celebrity couple had been married for twenty five years and have an adopted daughter. A spokesperson for the couple said that the couple intended to stay friends for the sake of their daughter…

“They fully intend to maintain their close friendship, to commit to the future joint parenting of their daughter.”

Twenty Five years is a hell of a lot of history to walk away from. Though both seem to be coping on the surface I bet deep down they are both devastated. I can only imagine the pain these last five months or so have caused each of them, regardless of whose fault it is, the death of any twenty five year marriage is sad.
