John Adeleye Slams Cheryl Cole For Miming
Axed X-Factor contestant John Adeleye has slammed X-Factor judge Cheryl Cole for not singing live on this weekend’s “live” results show. Adeleye was voted off the show this past Sunday and offered some parting words of advice for the former Girls Aloud star Cole who performed her new single ‘Promise This’.
Talking to the Sun, Adeleye responded to claims that Cheryl Cole was miming for a portion of her performance on Sunday…
“In a singing contest, miming might not be the best decision.”
He went on to add that as a mentor to X-Factor hopefuls, Cheryl Cole is setting a bad example as the whole concept for X-Factor is geared towards live performances, and for performers like Cher Lloyd who suffer from stage anxieties, Cole being allowed to mime is particularly not fair…
“For performers like Cher Lloyd, that’s not such a good example.”
Personally I find it unbelievable that Cheryl Cole would even consider miming considering the nature of the show. But I suppose that’s the way the music industry is going, the emphasis seems to be on pathetic dance routines which are truly embarrassing over solid vocals and stage presence.
