Rihanna Admits Chris Brown Break Up Was The Wake Up Call She Needed
Pop star Rhianna has revealed that breaking up in full view of the public eye with former boyfriend Chris Brown was difficult to cope with.
In an interview with Marie Claire, Rhianna added that while she found the break-up difficult, she has finally come around to seeing it as a positive and claims that at that point in her life she was in dire need of a wake-up call…
“All this terrible stuff they say to you, it breaks you down. [But] once you’re back on your feet – if you ever make it back on your feet – that’s the ultimate achievement. God has a crazy way of working, and sometimes when stuff happens you feel like, ‘What did I do to deserve this? Why was it backfiring on me? I needed that wake-up call in my life. I needed a turning point, and that’s what God was giving to me.”
