Pop superstar Christina Aguilera has revealed that she still feels somewhat unfulfilled and that she hasn’t quite achieved enough in her mega successful career.

Aguilera, who stars in the upcoming movie Burlesque was speaking with InStyle and she admitted that there are still things that she wants to accomplish despite all she has achieved so far…

“There are still so many things that I’m yet to accomplish, I think it’s something that I do tell myself, just to stay hungry. I am an overachiever and an extreme perfectionist. I would like to do more film and I feel that I still have yet to acquire the type of success that I desire. I’m sure there will definitely be a place that I will be at peace with knowing I’ve accomplished a lot. I had a lot of commercial success with my very first album, [but] I was miserable doing it, because it didn’t come from me. It was part of the whole pop explosion that seemed very puppeteered. I’m not a gimmick. I do like to stay with what’s closest to my heart, so all of that is hoopla and fluff and I just don’t like to entertain it.”

It’s good to see that Aguilera is trying to actually make something out of her time in the spotlight. She could easily just sit back and sing other people’s songs and still make tons of money but that doesn’t seem to be what she is about. It appears that unlike most artists who say they want to be taken seriously, Aguilera actually means it.
