Billy Bob Thornton Blames Video Gamers For Rubbish Movies
Hollywood actor Billy Bob Thornton believes that video gamers are to blame for the amount of rubbish movies which are being made today. In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, the 55 year old actor believes Hollywood are churning out the worst movies in history and it’s because of the video game-playing generation…
“In our current state of affairs, especially in the entertainment business, we’re living in a time when we’re making – in my humble opinion – the worst movies in history. They’re geared toward the video game-playing generation. And these video games, which I’m on my son about constantly, these games are people killing for fun, and I think traditionally in movies, there’s always been some kind of lesson in the violent movies.”
<<<THOUGHTS>>>
I don’t see where Billy Bob is coming from. I don’t see that there’s an overabundance of bad movies in Hollywood today. There’s always bad movies out there and I just don’t see what he’s getting at by claiming that the movies we’re seeing today are the worst in history. The only thing I can think of is perhaps he’s watching the wrong ones?
And anyway, how can he complain about bad movies when he appeared in Armageddon?
