Ubisoft have revealed that Splinter Cell 6 is in development. Ubisoft Toronto GM, Jade Raymond revealed via a promotional video…

“We’re working on Splinter Cell 6, the next iteration of the blockbuster franchise, and we’re doing it entirely here in Toronto.”

Ubisoft Toronto apparently have, including Splinter Cell 6, five Triple A titles in development and according to Raymond, the studio plans to employ 800 people over a ten year period…

“Within the next ten years we plan to ramp up this studio to at least 800 people, and we’re ahead of schedule on that,”

<<<THOUGHTS>>>

I really hope that Ubisoft: Toronto remember what made the Splinter Cell franchise so engaging and unique in the first place and take Sam Fisher back to his sneaky roots. Splinter Cell: Conviction was a nice diversion for the franchise with its focus on action but I want to get back to sneaking around like a coward.
