Jennifer Carpenter, the co-star of the hit serial killer TV show Dexter has revealed that she plans to continue playing the character of Deb Morgan, sister of Dexter, for the foreseeable future and admitted that she respects her character completely.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Carpenter, who is married to Michael C Hall said…

“Deb has a resilience unmatched by any superhero. She just keeps coming back again and again. There’s so much to be admired with her. She walks into every scene with Dexter with her heart fully exposed. I am fascinated by Deb. I love her, I need her and I’m not finished with her yet.”

She then revealed that she would love to make a comedy one day, preferably with Woody Allen…

“I do feel like I’ve been denied the pleasure of making people laugh. I just really want to do a comedy, even a dark comedy. My dream would be a Woody Allen comedy where I could sing.”

Carpenter is a real highlight for me on Dexter, her facial expressions and casual use of foul language never fails to bring a smile to my face. However, is it just me or does it seem wrong that she’s married to her on-screen brother?
