Matt Smith has revealed why his character Doctor Who loves Christmas. In an interview with USA Today Smith, who plays the iconic Time Lord, revealed the reason why the Doctor just loves the festive season…

“It’s showcasing humans at their most open and giving and kind. It’s everything The Doctor’s about.”

The Doctor Who Christmas special this year is a take on the classic A Christmas Carol and stars Harry Potter star Michael Gambon. Smith went on to talk about how, after almost a year of playing the Doctor, he is finally getting into the psyche of the character…

“I love his madness. I love his brain. I love that he’s completely silly. I love how lonely he is. I love his bravery. I love the fact that he’s clumsy.”

I cannot overstate this but in my opinion Matt Smith is the best Doctor I have ever seen and hopefully he will remasin in the role for many years to come.
